SELF-LIMITING BELIEFS IMPACT EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP

A leader who replaces self-limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs wins at executive leadership.

Effective leaders encourage innovation by allowing experimentation, develop their team’s skills and trust while avoiding burnout. This shift enables their personal success but also the overall success of their organisation.

Whether you’re building your own business or leading someone else’s, it’s important to know how to identify when we’re thinking in limited ways. Our thoughts impact our emotions, which in turn impact our actions and ultimately, our outcomes.

In this interview with Chris Hughes from MEALZEE I discuss how self-limiting beliefs stay with you, moreover, they keep you safe, but they also keep you small.

SELF LIMITING BELIEFS

We dive deep into the psychological barriers executive leaders face, including imposter syndrome and doubt, moreover, how these self-limiting beliefs negatively restrict performance. Self-Limiting beliefs challenge your sense of self worth. They’re reflected in how leadership is carried out and teams perform. This can also negatively impact entrepreneurs and how they charge for their services.

So, knowing that self-limiting beliefs negatively impact leadership and entrepreneurial success, have a think about the thoughts that hold you back.

By identifying them, brings them into focus.

Ask yourself
What do you believe in?

What are the origins of these beliefs?

How do you know these beliefs are accurate or true?

In an entrepreneurial sense self-limiting beliefs keep you stuck, and that’s daunting and can be catastrophic. If you step outside your comfort zone and run towards discomfort, then the other side of daunting is deeply fulfilling. I hope this podcast encourages you to ponder “who am I now” and “who am I yet to become”. These will enable you to reflect on past narratives that no loner serve you.
